Post pictures, and I'm sure there will be some interest. If the laser is in good condition I might well buy it ;)

How old is it?

A member just got scammed by someone selling this exact laser. You only have 2 posts, so extreme caution is advised. There is the chance you are the other person, but now you really are going to sell it. Its a good way to double your money. So right now you're guilty till proven innocent. If you dont like it, oh well.

If the laser is genuine, it should go for $130 very quickly. Although, I have to be honest, with a new new member (I consider myself very much a n00b here too btw so don't take any offense) I would definitely insist on a middle man.

Surely Cold or someone alike could compare the two IPs of the users signup? The same laser, and mention of a middle man this time, smells fishy sorry.

Tech why might be a Scam i said willing to use a Middle Man how dose that make me a Scam? If your going to post something like that make sure you know what your talking about.

Well that's fine if you feel that way , Your allowed to think how ever you wish, but i will still post my Pics and if no one wants it I'll post it on Ebay and hop it dose not get reported. thanks for making me sound like a bad guy without even knowing me, how about have the forum Admin look up my info as I'm sure this forum Records it,

and i thought a middle man stops Scam's boy i think your issues need some looking into Tech

And that is why i put Willing to use a Middle Man, the only think the buyer pays if shipping to the middle man, not sure who on this forum are middle men anyone close to Nolalu, Ontario would be the cheapest for shipping to them, but the buyer can pick anyone as a middle man it's there cost not mine lol

Mark is just trying to protect the community dogher, its a respectable thing, no? Why he is still trying to help around here is beyond me, but I respect him greatly for what he does, and how far he goes to help people and friends.
Props TJ, Props.

Don't get so confrontational. My credibility gets called into question at least 3 times per week for the last 6 months at work, trying to argue that you're right doesn't work, let your actions show the truth.

You agree that using a middle man makes sense, and so do the others on the forum, so that should be the end of it. After all for the buyer risk should only be for the cost of shipping from the middle man. (If laser is completely not as advertised I would dispute the shipping from seller to middle man.)

As for checking IP's it's kind of child's play (well maybe not quite) to mask your IP via a proxy.

I think a good defined sales procedure should significantly reduce the chance of a scam and provide peace of mind to both buyer and seller, so here is the procedure I would suggest:

1. Buyer contacts seller and a price is agreed upon.

2. A mutually selected veteran is asked to test the laser.

3. Buyer send funds for shipping of the laser to veteran. (Only shipping funds.)

4. Buyer sends funds to veteran at the same time for further shipping of the laser. (One absolute IMO is that the person kind enough to act as middle man should NEVER be burned for having to deal with shipping.)

5. If laser is confirmed as described by veteran, veteran awaits confirmation from seller that full payment has been received for the laser.

6. Veteran sends laser to buyer.

Everyone ends up happy.

IF laser is not up to spec, Veteran send laser back to seller instead of buyer.

If the promised specs are an outright lie, buyer should receive refund for shipping from seller. Otherwise I think buyer would be justified in doing a dispute.

An honest seller should have no issue with this approach, and a scammer... well if he gets away with price of shipping, not such a big deal, and there is always the option to dispute via paypal.

My $0.02.

I think you misunderstood. First commitment from buyer should be for buyer to send payment, (for shipment only,) to both you, the seller and the middle man.

Besides, I think it would imposing too much to ask middle man to also deal with the money.

Very glad to see that you agree though, and that you're sticking around.
