I just got into this Laser Stuff and right out of the hole I bought all three color lasers to try them out. I waited a while for this IgorT 6x BR build and it was worth it. He hand picked out a higher wavelength / higher efficiency diode for me out of a lot of 60 of them that he tested. He also sent a little tripod and an extra battery along with the Laser. The higher light wavelength beam is nice and visible at night and looks awesome. The output is 208mw.
I have only had the laser for a couple of weeks and it only has about 20 min. or so total burn time on it. For those reading this that are not aware, IgorT is very scientific about his laser builds to the point to where he designs and builds his own laser diode drivers and also knows how to calculate power input into the diode to maximize long life for the laser.
When I ordered it I had to have it, now I need the money for something else and would like to sell it. IgorT's normal price for this quality and power of blu ray laser is $290.00, and that is exactly what I paid for it. Seeing as how the laser is practically brand new, I am willing to let it go with the tripod and the extra battery for $210.00.
The other great thing about an Igor T build like this one is that you can at any time upgrade the diode to an 8x or higher by sending the laser back to Igor T and paying for the upgrade. The driver he puts in his lasers can handle way more current output than any current BR diodes need. Therefore, when the next gen of diodes comes out and you want to get one all you will have to do is have Igor upgrade it for you.
