The first one sold and shipped, here is my second and last one of this generation, they are identical, I used the same photo, but the second one is identical to this one.

FIRST COME FIRST SERVE!!!  DOUBLE YOUR POWER...DOUBLE YOUR FUN!!!

For sale is one of my experimental Beam Combining Apparatus that I am no longer using.  It comes complete with two clam shell heat sinks with all mounting hardware for your Aixiz Modules (not included) The unit also comes with a custom built MM-1 Mount which will give you three degrees of freedom.  x & y angle of PBS cube as well as Cube rotation about its center. All three degrees of freedom have very precise 1/4" x 80 pitch screws for minute fine adjustments.  All mounted to a 1/4" base plate with holes for mounting to an optical breadboard.  This is the perfect system for anyone who wants to experiment with combining two RED Diodes or two BLUE RAY diodes or One Red and One Blue diode.  Total beam height above surface will be 2".  I have no problem over lapping two lasers at hundreds of feet with this unit!

NOTE- PBS CUBE IS NOT INCLUDED with this item.  You may use a cube you have or you can pm me on where to get the cubes depending on if you want to work in red, blue or green wavelengths.
Most cubes range around $50.00 ea.  Contact me and I can get you one.

Cost of materials and custom machining was well over $250.00.  As it is used, I am selling it for $220.00.  Save yourself a ton of time redesigning something you can purchase right here!

If I receive no offers by Friday 13, I will list it on ebay, I need to raise some funds and am looking for a fast sale.

Re: FS:Aixiz Beam Combiner for PBS Cube NEW LISTIN

You could have phrased your reply just a tad bit more diplomatic. Aright here is what you can do.... Get a watch...no better make it a calender. Pick a date to start....... Ready, set, GO!!!! alright how long is it going to take you to reproduce this, (even if I sent you the drawings & complete list of hardware) including design time, ordering materials, machining, anodizing, assembling, & testing....if you do not see the value in this item at $220.00 you do not understand the value of time (let alone design)...and your time is worth zero (dollars/hr). IMHO Either you want 500 mw of red or you want to dream of 500mw of red, I have been there and done that FOR YOU all you need to do is sell your X-box or something, or ask mom ;D Sorry my response was sort of short with you but you have no concept of what this really is if you feel it isnt worth every penny or more of $220.00.

Start making one tomorrow. I'll be watching this post for your announcement and pics of your design.

Your correct response should have been....."Looks very well made, I've always wanted to create one of these to get 400-500mw of red.... But I am poor and cant afford such a nice instrument right now, I dream of the day in which I might be able to design something so nice and be able to sell it so inexpensively"

thanks for looking tho ;)

I think weve all been spoiled by group buys and CNC milling.  Machining is horrendously expensive for individual parts and takes an incredible amount of time.

I can see you understand completely. Once you design something in your head, it takes forever to hold it in your hand it seems. :'(

Re: FS:Aixiz Beam Combiner for PBS Cube NEW LISTIN

it is incredible how all the ultranerds cannot understand that some of us are fascinated by lasers, love to play with them, but are not willing to give their last cents to the hobby.

laserman, do you have a bike? does it cost less than 2800$? then please throw it away, there are more expensive bikes then yours out there, so you can't have fun with yours and you are a total lame ass and loser by not spending the highest amount possible. what, you just ride once a week for 2 miles? that doesn't change anything, go get one in 3000$+ range, or you will be superlame.

I don't know.....  :-?

Go to your local Porsche or Lamborghini dealer and tell them "nice but not for that
price"... and you will see your a$$ scooted out the door...

If you want quality... you will need to pay the price...
and if we can't afford it... we will need to make do with less... IMO

(BTW were you referring to Bicycles or real Bikes like Harleys...  ;D)

Re: FS:Aixiz Beam Combiner for PBS Cube NEW LISTIN

lol of course i meant bicycles of course, sry ;D

you do pay for quality, and you won't get quality without paying for it.
but you don't always need a porsche, which does NOT mean you wouldn't like to have one. i for one don't need a car at all ATM, and if i'd need one i couldn't afford a porsche. but i would like to have one, because it is fun. and i would buy one if someone offers me one for let's say 5k$.

this does not mean i do not appreciate the worth of the object, and does not mean i am greedy or anything. it just means i would be very happy to own one, but i am not willing to pay the current prices for what i get. this can change in an instant (let me win the lottery e.g.), but i don't see the reason for other members to judge over me based on that fact.
sk8er4514 did not critizice lasermans work in any way, yet he is offended for what he said. and matter of fact is, if you put your own time in it it doesn't cost you a dime. for sure nobody would work for weeks and then just sell the stuff for the cost of material, but IMHO there is no need to be offensive to someone just because he admires your work, but is not willing to pay the price your price. and that is what happened here.

i hope i made my point clear, i'm pretty sure i will be flamed for this, if you [as in "you all", not "you jerry"] want to get me wrong you will get me wrong...

Re: FS:Aixiz Beam Combiner for PBS Cube NEW LISTIN

Hey Kendom....
I'd like a Lamborghini myself.... my daily transport is
a '91 Honda Accord.. :-/

But I still won't go to the Lamborghini dealer showroom and tell them
"nice car but not at that price" (I wouldn't want to look like a jerk)...  ::)
I just stay out of the Showroom (thread) and look into the window and
dream about it.. IMO...

BTW.. the phrase "nice but not at that price" can be translated
to "at that price it is not nice" :'(

Re: FS:Aixiz Beam Combiner for PBS Cube NEW LISTIN

no need for thread to go to the crapper. Skater dude, said to me "nice..but too expensive". I said "you dont know what you are talking about, build one and you might get a better appreciation of what it takes, therefore justify the price". I'll stand by my statement, I apologized for being a tad bit harsh.

kendon, You are making yourself look bad by justifying another persons lack of knowledge. Or trying to compair bikes to porschas to oranges or trampolines or what ever the hell is going on at this point. If your time is worth nothing you will think others time is worth nothing and it is offensive when you suggest that.

My first point stands, build one then tell me how much you would sell it for. I offered that challenge, he said he wanted to have one, I'll wait to see what he comes up with. If he makes one out of glue and cardboard rubber bands it will be interesting to see what he would charge for it.

Champaign taste on a beer budget is what we are talking about here. He can dream all he wants, buy mine or build his own those are the choices.

Re: FS:Aixiz Beam Combiner for PBS Cube NEW LISTIN

I cant wait for mine to arrive... Considering who designed these, I had no hesitation on paying the price.. All said, mine cost me 300. Canadian, with the dollar being slightly low.

Mine will be added to my personal collection, and worth every penny ;)
