That's cool! :wave:
Nice build.
Is there limit to the frequency that the mirror can't vibrate to?

Cool build! I'm interested to see how you made your slip rings (or whatever they are called) to get your electrical connections up to the coil.

I did something similar, for m slip rings I used two concentrically sized washers soldered (yes I'm British) to the x/y coil and just two copper wires touching them.

@jcranmer:
I must admit, the design was inspired mostly by Firemylaser's 3d spirograph and LED Orb. The slip rings are a section of a collapsible antenna from a magnetic pick-up tool, and a flat metal disc. The flat disc creates lots of friction within the spinning of the device and also causes gaps in connectivity; next time I'll just use another section of antenna. (This is why I need to adjust it at 2:06 in the video.)

@ryansoh3:
The mirror responds quite well to all frequencies. I haven't explored the limitations but it does cut out in mid-bass ranges.

@cheech226:
Thank you! I haven't seen anything like this made before, so I thought you guys would like it :)

@ped:
Do you have pictures? I'd love to see your project!
