not sure if I like the lack of knurling or not. Does it still have a modular light engine?

Looks neat, though. A good collectors , light.

I can't get the head off the threads must be glued.

When I look from the back of the battery tube I can see a board where the positive anode of a battery makes contacts, it looks like a board not like how a removable module look like.

I needed an EDC... so i picked up a Fenix PD32. I ordered it straight from the Fenix website, and I cannot be happier with their service. I had a tracking number within an hour... pretty good, especially since it's Saturday.

I bought this xenon HID 4500 lumen 38/55 watt flashlight for $100. I have to say this is the most powerful flashlight I have ever seen, I compare it to a river barge's spotlight. I see people on the board can do really cool cheap diy build, man I wanna get into that kind of stuff. Especially the baseball cap light . you know how cool that could be for biking at night!

I just recently bought some stuff from csshih and made an XM-L drop-in for my 6P 18650 light. Also have one of the infamous DRYs on the way. No camera, though, and iPhone (gen 1) pics aren't even worth uploading.

Got my DRY. OMG.

Previous models measured in at ~2500lm, IIRC. I got neutral white, so a little less. Hotspot is nice and smooth, pwm is not as noticable as many other lights. Cells are in series, of course, as are the LEDs.

Did you get a CW or NW?

Neutral white of course.

Although I was pondering going with warm white, I wasn't sure if that was a misnomer or not.

I have a few lights that are warm white, but they are too yellow for my taste; Neutral whites are usually pretty good though.

I don't think I posted what I have so here it goes.

An old maglite - I think I got it about 10 years ago. I think it is 2D. I'm not able to check right now.
Some other D cell light - Can't check the brand right now.
SF 6P original - I bought the SF LED module after they started selling the 6P LED.
SF G3 Nitrolon - a custom LED module made by a CPF is on the way. It is a XPG R4 4000k
SF E1E
Skilhunt Defier X3

The last three were bought last month. Hopefully the LED module will be here in a few days. I am also going to purchase a green PT-54 Mag from Jay. A blue and red one might also be purchased in the future.
