So I finally got the "weaker" xbox diode out of its heatsink and mounted it in a dorcy Jr. heatsink/flexdrive..etc When I turned it on i really didn't think it was going to work since I had to use a Dremel to get that really annoying heatsink off the diode. I clicked the switch and for one second I thought something was wrong, but then beautiful violet light. I did a match test and it lit it pretty quickly.
After I had lit the match the beam was quite visible considering it was in broad daylight. I waited till it got dark and for some reason it was smoky outside...SWEET! It is running at 110ma's and is at least 2x brighter then any of my other blu-rays where.
I will post a video as soon as I can.
