Just noticed techlasers is clearing out their "titan" lasers. I don't know how they expected those to sell with their lower cost, smaller sized counterpart "crossfires" in the first place. If there were one it seems like this would be the time to buy a 400mW laser from them.

400 mw herc style laser for $999. Even if they are 100 mw under spec that's still a good deal.

I remember when 300mW was the highest power you could get and you could only get it from laserglow at the price of $2,000+ It is crazy how much the price of these 200mW-400mW laser has dropped in price. At what price will these lasers level out?

You know what seems even wilder? In 1968 a typical 10 inch telescope cost was ~2,800.00 which was also the cost of 55 oz of pure gold about this time. Now I own a great computerized 10 inch 'scope bought for $1,200.00 Bought in 2005, when this amount would have been about 4 OZ of gold, yet now the 'scope price is about the same in dollars, however it represents <1.5 OZ in gold! At this rate, when I retire, (about 15 yr's), I will be able to pay off the house with what would have been a few pockets full of trinkets, when I started making jewelry in '68.
