I just got done testing this laser a little while ago, and boy is it bright compared to my Arctic. The beam is tighter than my Arctic up close as well, so burning would be excellent. Props to Moe. This thing is a beast.

I am expecting my heatsinks to arrive today and I should have a couple more ready tomorrow. I just finished another Scorcher Jr. build and this one peaks at 3351mw and runs solid at 3.2w.
When the others are finished I will post pics and power readings.

Sadly, I received my heatsinks from Mrcrouse and cannot use either. Hopefully he will be able to salvage the 2 that were made so that they can be used. Either way I am sorry to say it will be some time before I will have another Scorcher ready........

Sorry for the issues, this can happen when we make custom heatsinks without the host in hand. Hope to have those corrected and back to you ASAP!

I know without the host to fit it with sometimes there can be slight differences that will keep it from a proper fit. I thought you said you were going to keep one on hand ? Will send one with the heatsinks so we can make sure....

Just finished a couple builds. Have a Scorcher using a copper heatsink running at 2.7w and have a Scorcher Jr. running at 3w. Hopefully will get my normal heatsinks from Mrcrouse soon and will have a couple more.
Will post pics/video as well as power readings in the morning.

New C8 Build from Mrcrouse host $175, 2.7w

Greetings,

I finally used a C8 host I got a while back from Mrcrouse and completed another 445nm build. This one peaks at 2.8w and runs good at 2.7w. I was holding the laser while testing and that is why the graph looks as it does. It has a 60 to 90 second runtime and runs on 2x18650 batteries, not included. I would like to get $175, not including shipping and ppal fees.
