I wish I was doing a tut on this but, frankly, I have way more questions than answers so I hope we can gather great direction from the likes of MarioMaster, Kenom, No-spin and any who are in the know on the best way to use Laser Power Meters.
Now that we have 12x 405 and the 445 nm diodes new thinking about use of a LPM may be greatly needed. The Radiant Alpha has made a good hobby meter within everybodies reach at only 99$.(shameless plug)
But I fear for my meters sensors with these burners and have heard from several that thier sensors are getting etched and the word 'fumed' was mentioned.
Mainly, what is the experts advice on how far or close to meter?- how should the focus be set and how long is too long?
I imagine this may be different for different meters. I could find some of these answers via the trial and error method but I surely dont want to damage my meters going the error route. thanks in advance for the help.
