I bought some and forgot to use it. Im just wondering if its really needed. Do you always have to use thermal grease for the heat sink? I only have my driver set to 1.3A, so it shouldnt be pushing anywhere near 2W. Im just wondering if I should take mine apart and add some.

Mohrenberg please clearly, the focus adapter we select from the the drop down menu, its the 3/4 focus adapter correct?

Yes it is.
The ones I include now are Tue 3/4" cnc machined ones with black anodizing
