I looked at this and it is stated to be a 445nm 2 watt. At $175.00 with $13.00 shipping it seems hardly worth the price. It's probably an M140 diode which are getting very inexpensive these days. Just realized this is from yesterday, so this might be a new offering. It looks the same, however.

Yes, on the laser pistol, after I asked the seller if it was really 465nm, he realized his mistake and updated the listing to 445nm.

@Alaskan It seems the bid price went way down by $100.00 when it was realized that it wasn't a 465nm and just a 445nm. I thought $175.00 was a lot for an M140 diode base build like this.

Ok here's the deal on these drivers, they are US shipped and 15 bucks and they will put out the power but like the rest they get hot and the protection kicks in, in about 5 seconds un heat sinked at 4.5 amps out, so they need to be set and potted with heat sink/mounting paste to a thick part of your main heat sink, otherwise the overheat protection kicks in, if you use a small heat sink it will run longer but then shut down until the driver and your small heat sink cools, they appear to need to be potted to a large heat sink such as the one your diode is installed into.

I pot my SXD's behind my 12mm diode module's in the same 12mm hole in a heavy heat sink, these need serious heat sinking as well, mounted as a battery board with a small sink does not appear to be a workable arrangement at 4+ amps.

Ya, I'd like to buy it, but I can't... paying out too much for the apartment, cannot even afford the starting amount, not even close.

Yeah, it's expensive, although not unreasonable. I have the money just now but I can't justify spending it on something like that right now...

Two months ago I bid it up to 1200 and quit, had the money then, but not now. Someone else bid higher, kept bidding me up one after the other, but I am fairly sure it was a shill bidder due to the early hour in the morning, like 3 AM where he was at and that the seller was up and emailing me at the same time. That alone doesn't really indicate such, but the fact the percentage of bids from that bidder with that seller was 100%, together with his re-listing it because I did not top his last bid indicates it to me. After that I stopped bidding on any of his stuff, will only buy it now and bid at the last few seconds in order not to be tempted into raising my offer against a shill bidder.

Looks like a tuneable Melles 643 Ar/Kr (643s are all Ar/Kr, 543 is Ar only).
