I did more testing on nubm0f and turns out that in between 5.5-6.5A the diode goes directly to ~470nm+ obviously this is not recommended current. Compared it to an actual 470nm and it almost started to look a bit more cyan but due to high current and heat it folds back on power that was around 40W input power. Bet it was pushing over 8W optical output. It was tested with gball intact no extra lens.

Oooo, I like that color shift. I wonder how much current these can take.
Well to answer your questions seems that they like to stay at 4.5A or less. And their limit is 7A hard fold back literally double their maximum rating. (Wonder if it has anything to do with their slope efficiency of 2 W/A)

Here is a video (colors aren't very accurate).
Anyway blinking between 1.5-4.5A
Solid at 6.9A
Dim hard fold back

Sorry for the spam adding more information here is a comparison of the gball NUBM0A on the left and NUBM0F on the right.
Same outter dimensions but clearly the optics are different.

That's Neat, I am suprised there are still people posting on this Forum. Seems dead. Thankfully not

There's still a handful of us still floating around here. I dropped off of LPF nearly a decade ago when life got in the way, it was definetly a bit busier back then but I'm happy there are still folks around to build, test and talk about lasers.

Hello everyone, how big is the divergence of this diode with G2 compared to nubm08/0E?

Basically the same from what I have seen, all the NUBM44, NUBM47, NUBM08, NUBM0A, NUBM0F, NUBM0E diodes have the same divergence using a G2 lens, it's the NUBM42 and NUBM49 that have worse divergence from what I have seen.
