Great success! A generic 11.5x0.5 tap from ebay did just the trick. I don't have any metric drill bits but a 27/64 did just fine, now I just need one of those new fancy 5X BE's.

I'm just gonna go out on a limb and say it's not a M11.4 x .5 thread but actually a M11.5 x .5 thread......

Your measuring the OD of the threads, if you measure at the base of the threads / pitch that will be 11.4 ..

I'm pretty sure that's the correct way to measure a thread....

Look what I finally got!!!! The new X5 expanders come with a nice little lens cap too. I guess it was worth the wait.
