Not a guidesman host, mine is much thinner. As for the driver check the PDF I attached earlier, it contains the schematic and a bunch of other drivers, you will probably find one that can run a LPC-826 of 3 AAA's.

Can't find buck driver from there, i don't understand any sign on scemes there :p
but ill guess if ur driver works at 2x14500 then 3xAAA should even have lower V and that driver should be able to work?

Almost all the the drivers are buck! Just at the bottom I think there is three boost drivers. The arrows with the little pointy things (LED's) is where you LD will come, the block in the middle is the IC you going to use and the little zig-zag line's is the resistors (read the paragraph before the schematic to get the values) and the words in the block are the pins (just look the datasheet of the IC up to get the pin-out). I can't explain it simpler than that.

I think i got it now, is linear same as buck driver? Just 1 little thing more, can i use 1 and 1.8ohm resistors as well to get same voltage and current for my red diode which u got with 3xAAA [ I belive their 4V (4.5V when fully charged)]

@qwas789 When you read the specs it says I used 2 X 14500's, each 3.6V. This host uses two AA's, it is not a Guidesman! A LM2941 will not work with 3 X AAA's. And yes, linear works the same way as a buck driver. If you want to ask these questions rather PM me, I'd be happy to help you there, but in this thread it is off topic.

Thank you everybody for the positive replies!:thanks::thanks::thanks::thanks:!!!!!

^Both of them has an output voltage lower than the input voltage.

I love it! The beam looks much cooler in person! Thank you for the compliment! I think the driver's name is rather appropriate:D
