Hi Everyone,
Had some fun today on a Sunday morning building this great unit. All Silver and shiny and ready to go. Hope you enjoy this LPF members..
Inside is;

1) NUBM44/9mm Diode = Jordan DTR...TY
2) SXD adjustable Driver set to 5A's, 24GA silicone Wire through out..Lazeerer Angelos... TY
3) G2 Lens
4) 2-Feilong 32650 Cells
Here are some pics not all i'll be posting more in this thread.
Beam shots coming soon...

Good job. Can't REP you yet. Those are some serious sized cells. Only ones I have that big are a pair for my 1000lm PT-54 green Mag light. Same cells though.

Wait, you mean to tell me someone is actually building something?

Hi Pman,
Hey you know i like to build buddy, Will be building a lot more once my driver order comes in still waiting on 22 drivers. thanks for checking it out pal. Yea these diodes eat up some energy 32650's are the way to go in a killer diode build with a large mass heatsinking . i ran this over 2 min, got warm but not to hot.. Oh here's the beam shots i promised ...

Holy smokes, 22 drivers! Are you building for just yourself or others?
I do have at least that many drivers but most are from things such as a Fasttech 532nm module whose diode died or AixiZ cheap ones or various ones I got off the net that have a pot but don't actually adjust. Basically most of what I don't really need. What I do need Flam is out of right now. Would really like a 5A adjustable buck to finish that c-mount 808nm 3W but I don't know who else to get one from only because I don't know how long before he gets them in. I would really like to give him my business though so it's honestly not a problem to wait. I don't do well seeing unfinished projects and I'm betting you are the same way. Can't help it, I've always been like that. I would never take on a project like building my own house as I would never sleep.
You understand why I said the building thing. I don't want to mention the other stuff going on (like I just did);) I have read all the threads and posts but am really trying to stay out of it all.

6 watts of blue I have yet to see in person! Great looking build and those are some pretty big cells! Beefy builds like this are always great to see :)

Hi Pman.
No these are for me alone i like mohave a stock on hand all the time. So i been stocking up on diodes while waiting fort the drivers. I had 2-SXD 5A adjustable left and used one today on this build. The NUBM44's are less than the NDB7A75'sat str's shop, they went from 125.00 to 135.00 and the 44's dropped in price but not many are hitting 7+ w's at 5A's just a bit above 6+W's. So the 7A75's are 5500mW' or a tad more go figure.
I think Jeff gets them from Angelos and i get all my drivers from Angelos. I ordered a 4A driver from Jeff last year got lost in the mail never got it, probably when i'm 90 it will be here found under some dusty cabinet. Jeff in Oregon and Angelos is in Connecticut so it's better to order from him i'm on the east coast.Like to see the 808, C mount when done.
Thanks buddy.
Rich:)

@ Red,
The 32650's are a power house 26650's don't come close but i still use them. The 32650's are perfect for the Mag Lite builds just have to mod the spring for room so you don;t need the GI Joe with the Kung Fu Grip to screw it on. A note the feilongs are better in size compared to the Efest brand Efest is longer and wider i sent mine back .
Thanks for looking my stuff over Pal

Rich:)

I talked to Jeff and yes he is basically the distributor and the holdups are not on his end.
My light came with the spring already shortened. I wouldn't want to compress the ends of the battery that hard from a full spring as they might push in some.
IM waiting on the next big thing for now before committing to anything more powerful than my lucky 6W 470nm (or what should be 470).

Hi man,
Yes and because of the shipping distance thats why i don't buy drivers from him other wise this man makes some great machine products. jeff is a cool guy he's always there to help and he don't mind a phone call once in a while. Now thats cool old school..
As for the tailcoat spring i shorten mine , but you won't have to worry about compressing to much. Only that there's aa internal steel ring in a groove so the switch won't go ant further, basically you can't use a jackhammer on it and it won't budge...

Hi EP,
I like huge laser builds for the sake now all these newer high power diodes are coming out. And with those huge massive heat se=inks you can't go wrong with cooling that bad boy down. I leave the main sink all to the diode and sink the driver to the battery tube not to much heat from the drive to dissipate at that location. Thank you for the reply awesome ..

Rich:)
