Hi
I want to build a red laser with LPC-826 laser diode.
I already have a standard focusable housing from deal extreme like this: Red Laser Module - Focusable Dot (3.5V~4.5V 11.89mm 5mW) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme
Is that compatible with the diode?
I know that need a heat sink for continuous operation at full power.
Any suggestion?
The diode requires a lot of current, what driver is best? Is LM317 costant current driver sufficient?
Thanks!
