I meant to do this over the weekend but didnt get a chance, i'll post an actual review when i have more time..
I bought one of these from LedShoppe
http://www.ledshoppe.com/Product/ledp/LP1085.htm
So a few weeks ago i received my *(replacement) key chain pointer from ledshoppe. the first one i ordered from them i might have broken.. might have been defective im still not sure. when i got my package there were no instructions for the batteries. so like the rest of my greenies i put the batteries in case positive, when i hit the button there was nothing. i tried changing batteries and everything. i was pretty bummed so i sent it back as defective. About a month later i got my laser back.
When i got my new package i opened it up and there were still not instructions on the batteries again put the batteries in case positive... annnnd nothin. (then i figured WTH if its broke it wont matter) So i flipped the batteries around and BAM!!!
this little (5mW*(sold as)) is comparable to my 50mW EASY!! so it is definitely over spec.. now all i wonder is how long it will last.
They really should have some kind of notice that these are case negative (at least mine is)
the one thing i noticed right away was the lens was/is FILTHY.. i'm sure the dust is on the underside because i have tried cleaning it to no avail.
but the beam itself is Very tight... it is at least 1/2 the diameter of my other LEDshoppe lasers
I really just wanted to let everyone know that mine is Case Negative.. it might save some of you some time/money. Hope this helps some of you.
ill do an actual review when i get moar time.
