First of, I'm sorry if this forum is not a place to ask what I am asking below. I have googled and could not find any other forum where there are people who have knowledge about lasers.
Hi so I recently got a 532nm 5MW green laserpen (to start with).
Bought it from some Dutch webshop. It worked great, very bright, visible beam outside and could shine as far as I could see. However it broke within 10 minutes.
I've sent it back and got a new one today.
When I used this one (the new one) it would be bright for 0,5 seconds and than get weak to the point of some 1 dollar toy laser. No visible beam anymore, just a weak green dot on whatever I point it at.
When this happens and I just keep it one for like 10 seconds it gets bright again and stays that way for as long as I've tried (I held it for like 1 min, stayed bright). Or some times when I spam the button it will stay bright for longer.
The laser that I got first didn't do this untill it broke.
I have brandnew duracel batteries in it.
What could be the problem here, and how can I fix it? I really can't be arsed sending it back a 2nd time.
This is the laser I got: Groene laserpen 5mW
I know this thing is probably cheap and crap but the first one I got worked great and was always bright (until it broke). I just wanted to buy a laser to have some fun and shine at things.
