I bought a pair of 808nm blocking goggles in the recent LG GB and I have been using them a lot when I play with 808nm laser diodes and crystal sets. One thing weird is that I can see a red dot coming from these lasers with my goggles on. I accidentally hit a reflective surface with a ~200mW 808nm laser of mine while I was wearing those goggles and I saw the light pretty well. This concerns me considering the goggles are OD7 for 800nm-830nm. Do the 808nm laser diodes just have a little bit of a secondary emission color or something and that's what I'm seeing? Any answers are appreciated!
