For some reason I ahvent been getting post info e-mails since page 23 or so... OUCH for my eyes....
after reading a whole lot, i was like, well, who needs anodizing neways, then I read someones post on the benefits, that sorta changed my mind.
then I saw ur pic kenom, if thats unanodized, and the anodized version will look like the dorcy's or the DX silvery flashlights, then I am preety sure ill be willing to pay extra for anodization... that barrel was kik ass, but sexiness has its part...
Got pictures of the prototype. this is just a prototype. so there's a few problems with it. 1. the head is too short on the outside. it goes into the barrel too far. so the diode insertion point is too far down inside the barrel. 2. the diode insertion point is just a teenie bit too big. the diode slips right out. 3. the hole around the button is a bit too short so it doesn't sit on it's tail without hitting the rubber. needless to say we've learned a lot about this. This was made by a machine shop commisioned so that we could at least see one and iron out some details before we do the run.
not to like pound on your product kenom but it looks like a cutt tube i thought the design was gonna look like the sonar case with like indents and stuff
Toked - I am certain for an additional $3.00 per "groove" per barrel that you may be able to have that happen....although I could be a little low on the price estimate
Kenom, I cannot WAIT to get my hands on those suckers Weeeeeee-hoooooo !
Actually toked if you the Post #1 it indicated that there were going to be no blemishes and completely smooth. go back and look. you will see I didn't not like any kind of grooves, dips, curves, or anything of that nature at all. Having that done incurrs extra cost and I'm just not going to do it. This looks sweet as hell as it is, and adding scupltures to the barrel just makes it flashy and not as functional looking.
Hey Senkat, look at my post in multimedia, my first try at DIY red. We must think alike, I built this from scratch. Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, I seem to following your lead, work out the wrinkles, I want one of your barrels ! Catmandoo
they have not been run as of yet cause the "employee" who does the initial bar cutting, has been sick for a week and a half. Needless to say, the designs are done, the materials are there, everything is good to go. Just need that one employee. We're still waitng on the fusion drives that go in this so even if I had them in my hands right now they still couldn't ship. However I know everyone would feel a lot better to actually see one of these instead of just a prototype! Hang in there a couple more weeks folks!
