Hello folks,

I was searching for 20-30 kpps galvo scanners kit for DIY laser show projector. I found them in eBay but they are selling outside USA. Does anyone have any experience with that orders where you live in USA? Risk customs?

Thanks,
Tim

There's no risk with customs when you're buying galvos. They aren't lasers and are not restricted. :)

Components go through without any problem.. Galvos are even used in rapid camera tracking systems so not just lasers and aren't considered a dangerous product.
Avoid the ones on ebay... a lot of the "30kpps" systems on there lack the HFD (High Frequency Dampening) and cannot be properly tuned.. they can scan at 30kpps all be it out of tune with flag poles and tails all over the place.

I think you can contact SpaceLas to see how much they'll charge you for a set of galvos. They ship from China, so you'll be paying for shipping, but usually their prices are pretty reasonable for some usable galvos.
