allow me to be more clear im not looking to shine it to see my way around the woods i have equipment for that i need it as a beacon to affirm position and to expedite assistance to a particular location

I have used mine on search and rescue here in the Appalachian mountains of WV already. They have a really long range and are very visible for night vision goggles. Also good if I get stuck overnight or cant get my patient out immediately and need a camp fire. The Fire Dept was gonna come here and make a bulk order but the chief said they weren't "legal" I'll talk him into it tho. :evil:

Just the 1W one, but mine peaks at 1.1 Good thing I have some 18650s as well, because put one of them in and it drops to super low power. How low I'm not sure as I lack an LPM, anyone want to check for me?

Blord wrote some place earlier in the thread that it drops to 100-200mw with one battery instead of two. I'm pretty sure, but go back a few pages and you'll see it.

I ordered the 1.3w one, shipped today so I'm eagerly waiting

I got mine today, the laser is really stunning

I ordered the 1W version and it has a peak of 1.174W.

For anybody not knowing whether buy this laser or not, I can only recommend this laser, it is very powerful and definately worth the money! The 1W laser lits a match without focussing:
