Hey people, check this:
Tee-hee...
Anyway, I asked around on BioWare forums, and it appears it's a rather nice thing I don't have to buy two copies of the game to play both on my laptop and my PC, co-operative.
And yes, I said co-op, for those who didn't follow recent events, here's a small sum-up:
Mass Effect 3 will feature multiplayer co-op action with up to 4 players (IIRC).
Now, hold onto your ass, it might just be blasted:
What you do in co-op will affect your singleplayer offline campaign you play afterwards.
Ass-blastingly awesome.
Now, another thing is about this Origin service.
I asked about that too and people almost unanimously agree that Origin can suck balls, because the client is apparently a bit slower than Steam, and scans your computer or something.
There's such a heated discussion going on, that in about a minute and something it took to refresh the page on my slowish internet connection, there were two new pages written, each with 50 replies. That's like, a reply per every other second. Talk about fast forum.
What's all yours take on this Origin deal?
Personally I'd sell my own spine just to play Mass Effect 3, let alone install some minor game distribution client.
Even if it's slowish, and unreliable, and scans your computer for... whatever these ugly mean evil corporations scan your computer for, how's that the end of the world? (they sure make it look like that, over there).
