I still don't really understand where the $400 a month hosting bill come from, not even considering the amount of advertising on here.

Rather than simply throwing money at the problem, i would be happy to find a hosting provider that meets the requirements of LPF at a much lower cost.

I work in the website development business, and have rarely seen sites requiring such hosting costs. The most expensive package i use with a client is about 100 euros a month, but that is for a live auction with hundreds of people refreshing a results page every 20 seconds at the peak. The rest of the time this system is obviously 99% idle, but they don't sell capacity the day here.

I always figured there's more cost's involved than just hosting. Even if there wasn't I would still be happy to compensate Coldshadow for all his time he has and continues to put into LPF when you consider the amount of knowledge and entertainment we all get from the site. Things like the new mobile friendly site probably takes a good amount of the mans time. Why shouldn't he be compensated for it on a volunteer basis? $5 bucks a month is a bargain to me.

That's OK, I think you have to rep 10 people a day for a week to be able to rep someone again, unless something changed. If someone can't rep me and donates, I will match their donation 50% up to that 100 dollar limit this month, just PM me or post here that you have.

Edit: Just had my rep rise 11 points and just sent 11 dollars more to C0ldShadow.

Daaaayum! Thats quite a lot. I have always wondered what the required number is to rep again. I enjoy rep when its due and its always nice to receive but if I had my way I would allow users the option to not display their rep under their avatar but only in their profile. Id rather have the validity of my words represent my contributions and character over a number. Just my 2 cents.

It's July already! (Here in Afghanistan). I will match 50% of any donation made in the next few days through the 4th of July up to 50 dollars total for the first 100 that comes in.

i.e. if ten members contribute 10 dollars each, I will add 50 more. Just post here you have contributed or PM me how much and I will match half
