Hi all, I own Lazerer Rifle 532nm 200mw laser.
Was working fine and bright beam for about 2 years.
Lately it has become dim, like the power dropped in half or even 2/3.
Tried to change 3 different batteries with no help.
Do you guys know what could cause this?
Is it fixable?

Thank you in advance,
George.

Did you happen to drop it at some point?
If you did not the Ir diode could be going south. I think a few people on the forums have managed to replace their diodes in the past on dpss lasers.

Didn't drop it.
Would be nice to know if it is fixable and how do I know if it's the diode or the driver or anything else?

Hey Fret!

I would have to agree with Wolf on this one, Im not Green Laser Expert but I think the diode might be nearing the end of it's lifetime, if you absolutely love the laser just pop a new IR diode

Thanks guys, is it a lot to ask for a link to changing a diode of my kind?
Something informative step by step.

I don't know of any site which gives detailed steps on changing an IR diode on a 532nm laser, best thing I would do is talk to someone on the forums who personally builds lasers. They will know wxactly what to do and in the long run will end up cheaper :)
