hello iv been running my 200mw aixis laser diode at 230mw for about a week now using it alot and it seems fine has anyone ells got one of these, if so have you had any problems with it and what ma input have you been runing it at
I think your confusing ma with mw, mw is how much light basicly the diode is putting out, ma is how much current is going to it. The aixis diodes are more than likely not 200mw even if it was pulsed it might be barely 200mw, Senkat here sells tested and reliable diodes that can handle high temperatures 75C and only 19.50each...http://stonetek.org/shop/index.php?...id=180&zenid=b9491447061155ebc15b0db88b8692f2
im not confused when i say im runing my lad at 230 mw i mean im running the ld with 230mw going into the diode im not sure what the mw output is probably 150mw
Um im not trying to make you mad but you say your running the ld with 230mw going into the diode thats not right, I think you mean your running 230ma (milliamps) into the diode wich would be the current going into it..
That makes sense. I am sure someone else will come along that has the Aixiz diode, or you could do a search for it as it has been discussed here.
Personally I prefer SenKat's diodes over the Aixiz. From what I have read of others experiences that have the Aixiz diode, it is hard to believe it is capable of sustaining 200mw's over a long period of time.
Well it depends on several things. If you are using a current limiting driver with a decent heatsink..then 250ma's seems to be the norm. But some are running them over 300ma's.
