Hi everyone,
I've been browsing the forums for a while, but decided to join after getting my first green pointer. I got it in the mail today and it works great, but I'm wondering if anyone has any experience adjusting the divergence/focus (same thing?) on an inexpensive pointer like this one? I'm mainly wanting the beam to be tighter so when I'm pointing at a surface it's not a green blob. For short distances in the living room it's not to bad, but for longer distances 500 - 600 feet it's a large green blob.
I had a small key chain 3 button cell red pointer for 12 - 13 years, but has recently vanished. I'm not sure if I should blame the cats or not. Anyway, the focus on it was amazing. Around the same distance it was still pretty decent dot and very visible. I still remember playing laser dot games on the side of a building with 5 or 6 other pointers while waiting for the 4th of July fireworks.
Here's the url of the pointer I purchased. http://www.ledshoppe.com/Product/ledp/LP1085.htm
Thanks,
Kage
