There is a laser party April 11(actually it starts at 1AM the 12th) Brian has a thread about it (his B-day) - warehouse in dallas- I am trying to make it and have hopes of a mini LEM the next day and/or Sunday-- Get with Brian for more details and subscribe to LSLF.
Quite a few others may be there- do you know of a place we can meet ?? a garage is fine by me. i HOPE when we meet the folks that Brian rented from we can workput a deal..sounds nice- bathrooms and a bar. Not a huge building but room enough//hak

SELEM 2012 is coming quick..
I cannot make the drive alone- I need min of two more to make the drive from Texas.
I will not fly with my projectors- odds are high they will be damaged on one of the flights. You may have classes aug 17 to 20 so SELEM may not be doable, but if you know anyone else plase send them to me ASAP.

And yeah, I'm still deciding on the GB. Worst comes to worst, I might get in on the summer one once the 1.5 W 445's have the TEC and fan cooling

FYI- those prices Gray quoted are a steal IMHO.. In GB #1 we paid 325$ for PL-C 250/532s- and were all happy clams.
At CNI they still want ~200$ for their very good 'Spartan' 532 100mW. Looks to me like JetL is not just selling lasers... they are making friends.
BTW I think we have a Lubbock member besides you.. make a 'howdy' post at LSLF.
One of the guys was working on a map with all our cities flagged. (google I think)

just sent an invite to our Tx laser geek group- you have many others living up that way- they have a gathering is a dallas park pavillion along with some of the LED flashlight guys.
You missed TEXLEM in san Antonio March- same weekend in 2013(superbowl)
& there may be a meet in SA again 1st weekend in Nov.
