Last week I was traveling in Phuket Thailand and went to a nice mall in Patong called JUNGCEYLON™ where I bought a 200mw 542nm laser for 2700 THB after haggling (about $84.00 USD). The sales guy even threw in 4 batteries (two brand new alkaline Panasonic AAA batteries). This is on the top floor of the mall. There are a few vendors that sell lasers, but buy from the guy whose shop is closest to the cinema as his lasers are demonstrably superior.
This laser lights matches quickly, and burns through 32 (!!!) layers of a garbage bag in about 15 to 20 seconds. Regular black plastic gets burned in about 1/4 to 1/2 a second. The beam divergence seems really good (sorry I threw out the spec sheet), as I was tracing tight lines on buildings in Hong Kong later that week, and even double bounces off of mirrors in smokey bars were pretty tight. The beam is very bright and can be seen a bit in daylight too. The spot shows up outdoors even in bright sunlight. Very happy with the purchase.
It looks like this one on the rayfoss page: www.rayfoss.com
But it says 200mw 532nm class IIIb on the sticker.
Good deal?
