I am thinking of using my old work goggles and putting 2 red plastics that filter out around 90% of green light as my safety goggles. After attaching an IR filter, then my goggles should be safe right?

you looked directly at the beam with homemade goggles or with the camera?well i mean, with my home made, when i put them on, i cannot see the 50 mW at all and my camera is very sensitive and could not pick up any green all i see is a little white
dot. dimmer than looking at a star.
