I think he's on the up and up.

Seems like he is bending over backwards to prove his claims.

Also seems like a likeable fellow.

even if the life of the Diode is only 100 or even 50 hours.....1 diode running 3.5 watts! thats balls to walls

Much Like IE said.....lucky if any of my lasers see over .5 hours per month.

Who will be the lucky first???( on LPF)

I am planning on purchasing one when my funds line up. I will be going for a 3W+ unit like the one he showed. It depends on funding majorly though...

Probably won't be the first as I just spent a bunch in the laserbtb group buy but hopefully soon. I really want to see what my Ophir reads with one of these.

So it looks like the 9 mm 445's could be the elusive 4 W diodes people were talking about a little while back? Maybe we have been seriously under driving them!

I think they will hold the ~3,5W just for maybe ten seconds and then drop really fast ...
But anyway I would love to have an 3,5W single diode laser my own :)

Well I want one. And let's see if we can get him un-banned, we need a guy like this around here, he would be a good asset to the forum if he would like to join us and the forum is all about bringing great minds alike and not keeping them out. Who agrees?

I agree.

Well Wouldn't you if you were in his shoes? I sure as hell would.

I also want to thank everyone who helped this guy out regardless of where this thread was headed before. I'm glad to see it is all over now. I hope that it is a lesson learned

I really wouldn't call this tread closed till we give this guy a chance to join us in the forum as an active member, I would like to see some moderators or admin join in and make this happen.

Needless to say my information was obviously wrong and I owe everyone at this forum a huge apology and Rick as well. I didn't look at the messages at all between Rick and I... I just thought his output clames were unreal and that is when i stopped talking to him a few months ago. I should have checked the messages between him and I to verify the info at hand instead of guessing what he said and assuming things based on my assumption that Rick was a fake. I feel like an idiot and rightly should.

My most sincere apology goes out to anyone affected in this whole mess. I really made an ass out of myself. Sorry guys :(
