Ive been looking at getting a new light recently, but this time, I was looking for something with half decent brightness (so something 700lm-1000lm would do)...a relaible and a quality light, and also I wanted it to be able to take standard cells.

After some thinking ive chose the TK45 to be that light.

I got this light in the mail today, after unpacking it, you get to the main content, first off, the presentation box:

After you remove the paper cover, you are greeted with a sturdy plastic carry box.. its nice if you want to keep your light unharmed while in storage

Here is a shot that shows a bit of the AR coating on the lens:
Also, this light uses 3 XP-G emitters (R5 bin)

The knurling is not too common for the lights I own, as im used to see diamond style knurls, but I have to say, I am impressed by just how effective this knurling style is, it is very easy to grip and maintain a solid hold on.

The battery pack uses 8X AA cells, meant for 1.5V each, so respectivly alkalines and other primaries/rechargables are suitable.

Threads are somewhat square, and are pretty well made, even without lube the light threads together very smoothly.

Low mode (8-15lm)

Medium mode (95lm)

High mode (312lm)

Turbo mode (760lm)

I did a quick video to show the modes this light has and how to toggle between them, the two switch toggle function really attacts me rather then how most lights require you to cycle the modes through a tail cap.

Worth every penny IMO. :)

It was 125$(light) + 10(ship)

so 135$ total. but I stick to what I say... for me it was worth every penny.

Whats awesome is how those 3 LED's combine together to make an awesome throw/spill ratio

Now mod it into taking 3 XML's :eg:

NICE! I'd love to install an RGB set up in one of those hosts with the different modes :p

Either that or a ballanced RGB setup :) or a triple single color

we'll see later on, right now I like the light as is.
Might order another to mod later on.

It would become a super bright flashlight and a firestarter/handwarmer :p
