A lunch bag full of cardboard chunks.
With my safety shades on and the angle of the sun my cam screen is virtually impossible to see.

But you focused it out of infinity to a point, correct?

I lock the G2 down to a focused line at about 15 feet or 30 feet it doesn't really matter much, focused at 15-30 it is almost focused at infinity, it's a fraction of a turns difference. 15 feet is where I align my 6X pair, I don't adjust it at all, only if I add the beam expander can I do any focusing.
It will light the bag from point blank to about 35 feet without the expander.
With the expander it will light the bag further.
It's the best compromise for my purpose which is burning, it also makes a nice NDB7875 with a 3 element focused to infinity looking beam only brighter.
It won't look much different focusing the G2 to infinity, but it takes a little bit out of the short range, you can experiment and see, but the G2 only takes a fraction of a turn to go from it's sharpest at 15 feet or infinity.
With a big beam expander after this correction it will be ready to get a tight spot for a long way.
You can see in this video it lights the paper at each end and will anywhere in the middle, the line width does grow, but much slower than it did.
Adding a 2 lens expander after this will yield a good result with a shorter line than the same expander without this correction.
You just can't do it with 1 strong lens, it would focus it very short in front, maybe with a very low power lens or a telescopic reduction, I have not tested any telescopic reductions.

I've figured out a way that I haven't seen before to attach the jetlasers beam expander to my "green monster". I think it's going to work great but we'll see.....

The way I have seen the 10X used with the NUBM44 is to short focus the G2 to about 10 feet or maybe 5 feet, then you can use the 10x, but the result is not as good as the 6X I don't believe.
Lifetime17 has done it and he burned a hole in a shirt at 32 feet with it so I tested the 6X on a shirt at 32 feet, he could answer some questions so you can make it work, I set a NUBM07 at 7 feet with my 10X JET.

The beam expander I have coming can be set between 1x up to 10x so if 6x works best I cam do that....
After over a month I finally got the set of high quality ICR 22650 high drain Li-ion batteries I've been trying to get !!! YES !

I like the 3X and I really like in combination with the 6X Cyl pair, I will make a threaded plate for my build in this thread and next do a double NUBM44 combined with a PBS cube and a wave plate on one diode prior to the cube, then a 6X pair and hopefully a nice BE but if not a good ole reliable sanwu 3X.
Here's my moped muffler at 60 feet. If you can make the 10X work then I will use mine too, but I am afraid it's just too small for it's magnification to use with our MM diodes.
Alien Laser: If my cats ever try to get anywhere near it I turn it off, they seem to know the difference between the red toy they chase and the bright blue ones, but I never let them get anywhere close at all, if it's ever looking like an issue I will treat them to a can of tuna and they will keep their fuzzy little faces in the food plate.

I'm happy to have bought the driver, but I haven't posted on this subject again until very recently. I don't know, maybe his google shop automatically sent that receipt to me and he will ship it out correctly.
