First of all a Warm welcome to LPF

Second, do you have experience with lasers? Do you have eye protection against 445 nm lasers?
You should think twice before buying a so powerful laser ;)

Oh thanks & thanks for replying!

I have no thought for buying protection with parts that I build laser.
and yes ... I think safety first!

I have enough knowledge of electronics but never manipulated laser. I think I can learn it?

a HUG!

In this case you could start with a 50 - 100 mW laser :) ... but if you really want a 2W laser at 445 nm (with safety glasses), I strongly suggest that http://laserpointerforums.com/f39/fs-2-2w-445nm-laser-3x-18650-host-called-big-boy-71849.html a great deal!!!

ok is very good .. but I will not have the pleasure of building it myself ... that's the idea ..
I like to build many things ... mostly electronic things

Welcome to the forums. Glad you liked my tutorials.

Yes building for yourself can be very rewarding and educational.;)

I'm agree, I had great satisfaction in building my first 1.3W 445nm pointer, and even more for my CO2 laser ;)

What help do you want ? That link in the first post is practically a tutorial. You only needs part to assemble.

hi men welcome too LPF im from mexico,

you are so crazy if you want to start with a 2w laser there are many things can be wrong if you dont have experience and for a 2w laser you need a big host with a big heatsink
and also 405 g1 lenses ( a lot of money)

second. solder a LD is not like solder a resistor or a capacitor. you need to solder it very quickly (1 or 2 seconds)

if you really want to build a 445nm laser you can start with a just add diode kit from moh.

it comes with the driver(current at yor choice(i recomend 1.25A)), the host, the heatsink, the lenses and the aixiz module.

and you can buy the diode from DTR(with the leads atached and pressed in the module)

^this is the best way for a new laser enthusiast to get started with lasers. and once you will put together couple of just add diode kits, do research at the same time, read and learn. You will have more knowledge about lasers, their safety and you will feel more comfortable handling one...or even building one from scratch eventually :D

welcome to the forums, i suggest read as many threads as you can and just be active in your research.
