FS: Stainless Steel Green Kit! - Polished! - Easy Assembly...

I just got the o-like module. I'm a bit confused because for one, the picture is different on the sight than the one I got. It actually looks or appears to be identical to the one you installed in your kit instructions. What mw was it jayrob? Because the one I ordered is 100mw and the videos on youtube of the 100mw industrial green modules look different as well. I have got good eyes for small details. The switch and metal case is the same as the instructional one and not the picture. There is no huge blue resistor like the ones on youtube as well. I don't know how size corresponds with diode part, but wouldn't a bigger resistor be needed for more powerful diodes? The package even came stating that the electrical part was 15 dollars (it said scanner part as well, but I understand why they have to label it that).

I currently cant get pictures up to the internet, but it appears that the one I received is identical to the one you instructionally installed.

EDIT: Oh wait, nvm on what your mw was for the instruction. Its 100, so I got lucky and have the same module design as yours! : D

The last paranoid thing I have to say is: is the driver circuit also not intuitively fitted into the groove on the back of the metal case? Because mine is not lined up with it, or even in it a little bit what so ever. It is wire connected to the diode from what I can tell, but it gives an illusion that it is twisted lol.

You can test it with a 3 volt CR123...

The brass case of the module is positive, and if there is a center spring on the driver, that's the negative. (watch your eyes)

I just received my o-like 80-100mW module... I bought mine from Modwerx... a few dollars more but shipping is much quicker. I tested my module my connecting to the + and - pads on either side of the spring bypassing the switch completely. Light output is awesome, now I just have to wait for your kit so the module will have a permament home!

Just trying to be fair to everybody by building kits per 'date paid'. I'm at least a couple of weeks out on shipping new orders.

That style switch will also by-pass by soldering the two connections straight along either side...

Yes you can...

You just have to have a different heatsink, and also drill out the pill to mount the driver in. (one build style)

Yes correct...

On a side note, you may just try a 3 volt primary (CR123) first to see how your module does in a comparison with a rechargeable...

Once in a while you end up with a really nice module that will give max power with the 3 volt battery. If you get one like that, you might want to use the primaries just to be easier on your green module...
