I wouldn't start with 8000 grid. That would take forever to sand off material. Use a coarse sandpaper first like 300-400. Then 1000 to smoothen up and at last the 4000-8000 to polish it.

Thanks for your support :) I'm trying my best :)

I think if I order 30 replacements it should cover it, someone please correct me if it's too little, I don't want to order more then needed.

Perhaps you don't need to worry too much about ordering too many Anthony; some people (like myself), who didn't make it in time to get into this fantastic GB, would be glad to pay for surpluses that you may have.
I'm liking that Small-Sun host too, so I'd be just as glad to get one of the non-SH032-fitting sinks as well.
So please let us know if you have anything left over from this GB :)

FWIW i havn't got mine yet but there is another way to do it.sorry for those that dont use metric system (you just need to convert sizes)but if you get a 12mm bolt that is long enough to fit through the heat sink and tighten it up then insert the end with the extra thread into your drill you can than use sand paper to (machine)it to size.
I have made all my heat sinks by using this method, because i dont have a lathe yet and i am a tight a$$:na::na:
Anthot i am sorry to hear you took a loss on this GB and though i havn't got mine yet:(:( THANKS MATE I APPRECIATE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!!!!!!:bowdown::bowdown::friend::friend::friend::friend::friend:

Awesome!
I keep going back and checking your site twice daily; you've been putting those 5mw 635 diodes on and off that page for a week now, but I could swear that you didn't have all those heatsinks there earlier today :D

Edit(s): Do you have focus adapters or an AtMa-boost driver for sale and just happen to not have updated that page yet?

If you are having them remade take Ben's advice and have them polish the front b4 the GPlate. They will look alot nicer. and Hey I will pay full price again with shipping for new ones.

What is the scoop with the set screws though?>??

I'm having the set screws remade for sure along with SH032 heatsinks,
I will be in touch with the manufacturer tomorrow to work everything out.

Mine arived today, prety fast shipping.

I bought 2 heatsinks and so far only 1 sh032 from dx,
Neither of the heatsinks fit in the sh-032,

Since I only have 1 host, I think I only need 1 replacement, if these fit in a small sun C2,
Will they fit in a C2?

What happened with the set screws, Did they forget to finish them?

Yup that was quick for the regular shipping :D

The manufacturer did not correctly make the set screws. They are being remade at the moment,

I will have to reorder the SH032's and I want to wait until I know how many I need to order so I don't order too much or too little.

Yes they fit the host mentioned a few times above perfectly :)

Got my C6 heat sinks today, very nice. They should fit since I was the one who measured the C6's! :D

Pay no attention to the clutter in the background. ;)

Can they really be called "screws" without a head? You have to wonder what goes through these people's mind as they are making this stuff... I hate that you have to deal with all of this, but you are learning invaluable skills in how to deal with Chinese manufacturers. I don't know what you plan to do "long-term" in life but you are getting some really great experience in this area!
