I am! I've been shopping around for a Violet laser for the longest time, and I even bought a 405nm 5mW cheapie just to see what the hype was all about. I instantly fell in love with the deep purple that it produced. The beam was visible in the right lighting conditions, too; I was impressed. I tried pot-modding it, but failed, because for some reason, the manufacturer decided to make the side-button impossible to remove. I finally got it modded, but everything fell off the PCB while I was putting it back in the host, and I gave up completely.

I plan on doing a review of the 500mW HL405 I ordered. I tried searching for one on here, but I couldn't seem to find anything from Skylaser that wasn't 532nm. There's also a limited number of 405nm reviews on here (especially ones above 100mW). There was one 405nm 500mW review on here, but I wish it would have gone more in-depth. I was really looking for properties of the beam, how intense fluorescing becomes at that power, beam/dot brightness compared to other wavelengths, etc.

I like surprises. I hope I get the 700mW 593nm laser instead of the 532nm :shhh:
