Sorry, but take my name off the list :(
I just realized that with a 7mw bluray, output won't change much..

Ok.. ;D You don't have to apologize for anything.. I doubt many have really made up their minds just yet. Except for people with 6xBR writer diodes, most likely...

You realized correctly, and with a PS3 diodes, a lens like this wouldn't make ANY, even if it increased power by 50%. It would make more sense, to spend a few bucks more and buy a PHR-803T diode, and make a 100mW, even with a plastic lens.

Ah, i see it now in your sig... Whatever the increase will be, it will be a certain percentage. So the more powerful a diode, the larger the increase will be in mW, and the more sense a quality lens will make.

Just to avoid further confusion...
For example, if the increase from plastic leses should be 20%:
- PS3 7mW -> 8.4mW
- PHR 100mW -> 120mW
- 6xBR 200mW -> 240mW

They will be shipped to me this Monday or Tuesday, so if i'm lucky, i could have them by the end of next week.

I'll take some time today, to update the list.

Updated the list.. If i'm not mistaken, we're at 95 pieces..

Can everyone please verify their info is correct?

Also, about the multilayer coated lenses.. Since we would only use them for reds, a single layer MgF2 coating, optimized for 650nm, would be cheaper, and work just as good (power increase of around 20% compared to an AR coated acrylic, and a bit more compared to a clear acrylic).

So if someone wants a cheaper lens for the reds, it can be switched to a 650nm coating only. It costs almost 1 Euro less than the multilayer.

Alternativelly, we can also order any combination of coatings - it does not affect the price. A multilayer coated lens can be used with any laser. So if you're not sure you'll use them for reds, you can still put them on a blu(e) ray.

The list:

- Please post the number of lenses you WOULD want IF they come out the way they are meant to.
- Also specify the type of coating you would like. 405nm for Blue Rays or Multilayer for any laser wavelength (mostly for your reds).

The more lenses we order, the lower the price could be. If you put it into your own plastic AixiZ lens nut by yourself, you can have them at manufacturing cost + shipping. Otherwise, it'll be a few bucks more because of the parts. For the US it would probably be better to send a bunch of them at once to someone reliable from there.

This is just to get an idea of the amount we would order, so that i can get a price quote and tell you how much they will actually cost. After they are tested, you can then decide if you want them or not. If they test well, we can then order the lenses...

Well, actually, it might be easier, if you all just tell me, in case it's incorrect. Otherwise, we will have five more pages saying "mine is correct"..  ;D

Or better yet, maybe we should do the order verification after the numbers are in.. Because i'm gonna have to ask everyone to do it again anyway.

You can put me down for one blu and one red, depending on sample results. It's clear to me that one of these is a must have component in any ultimate diy laser. :)

I might be interested in a 650nm lens as well depending on price.

Yes I'd be interested in say 2 or 3 650nm lenses, again depending on the final price.

Re: 405nm AR glass lenses - fit AixiZ  FEELER

Yeah, i was talking to LikeitBright, and he also thinks the multilayer coatings would have a slightly lower transmittance, than single layer coatings optimized for a certain wavelength.

And since we would only use the multilayer ones for reds, i think it's better to replace the multilayer with a 650nm AR coating in any potential future orders. There are only 8 requests for multilayer so far, and i think everyone would agree with the switch. In this case, the lenses for reds would cost the same as lenses for blu rays.

I will have the results when i get the lenses. I mentioned a page or so ago, that they would be shipped to me this week. I chose regular shipping, as UPS would cost 80 Euro!

So please have some patience. I can't make it go any faster.
