So i just got my fasttech modules in  I ordered three 50mW models i am just gonna put their average powers. Non were DOA BUT 2/3 module the ground lead fell off  So after soldering them back on i got this:

- one at 50mW precise
- one at 85mW precise
- one at 110mW precise

These were measured on my ophir sensor!

greetings,,

That is a good deal !
The stock leads are stiff but I replace them for silicone wires in my build.

I ordered a 50mW Module and it just came in! :) So glad to have 532nm photons back in my life!

Here are shipping times for those who have it in transit and want hope:
2/22/13: Ordered
2/24/13: Shipping Tracking Obtained
2/28/13: Accepted at Post in Hong Kong
3/04/13: Arrived at Post in California
3/07/13: Arrived in Austin, TX
3/07/13: DELIVERED

Definitely not DOA, in a well lit room I can see the beam in mid air. I hooked it up and used the momentary button on the driver to test and make sure it was working. I will be getting an SH-032 SS host and heatsink to hold this badboy. CANNOT WAIT! I almost just used my Black C6 but that one is for my 300mW 650nm build I have a driver coming for. #hobbyistproblems #laseraddict #photons #uspscansuckit

Peace,

You know what we need Flaminpyro is some screw on caps for these. Kinda like a focus adapter but not for focusing.

I've had success using laser pen's caps but you have to put some electrical tape or Teflon tape around the end of the module so that it will fit tight. it worked pretty well.

I think the best option will be a custom heatsink(for hosts long enough) in which a little cover is left at the front. The module would slide in and be pressed there with a set screw.

Hey guys!

So in need of the flaminpyro screw on caps i got an idea. I adjusted a 5.6mm copper module as heatsink and end cap. For a cheap 100mW+ greenie i think it is awesome :) Especially as i did only have a pen host laying around without the silver end cap. i sanded of the inner and outer threads of the module and the 532nm module so i could press them together for a pressfit. Also i soldered on a spring. The entire module could then be presfitted into the host.

Great work there, it looks fantastic! Will you varnish the end or do something else to prevent it from tarnishing? Also I see you were one of the lucky ones with a +100 mW module!
