Hey All,

I Have not posted much lately but wanted to show this Off a little while back and i forgot.

This is my Sick little 600mW+ Key chain 635nm laser that i built with Jayrob's 10280 Key chain Host i bought from Here:

http://laserpointerforums.com/f64/fs-key-chain-build-kit-fit-10280-battery-42564.html

Its a Tiny little guy but was very easy to build in.:)

Iam Using rhd's Mosquito Red Driver since its the smallest driver i have seen so far and is Rock Solid and Stable. Great Driver.

Then I just made a Simple Focus Adapters to give it that finished look.

Spec's:

Host - Key Chain
Power - 600mW+
Driver - Mosquito Red
Currant - 1050mA
Lens - 650G-1/2
Switch - Momentary
Duty Cycle - 30 seconds on 30 seconds off "Momentary is Unlimited"

Here is THe Video I made of it in Action:

Here are a few Picutres of the Updated Host since the video.:eg:

What.?:p Like you guys dint know already that i was going to polish it.

:)

:thanks: For Looking.!!!

Wow, really beautiful mini laser, with maxi power, for his size

I love, really nice laser Angelos

Edit: How long the battery lasts?

Ohh really nice and 600 mW impressive. Just make sure you dont turn it on in your pocket, when your looking for your keys!
Guess you were using the 500 mW mits?

That's a Beauty! :)

Try to make something crazy again, like 2Watt 445nm on this tiny host :D

Wow that polished finish is sweet!

So 1 Amp from the 10280 huh?

Yeah those little Li-Ion's are pretty surprising, but your run time between charges must only be about 10 minutes huh? (200mAh capacity battery)

Still amazing that you can have a class 4 laser in such a tiny host...

I chose to build my personal ones for more run time between charges.

My 445 one is set at 275mA's - 78mW
My blu-ray 6X is 183mA's - 268mW (high efficiency diode with 405-G-1 - it was 215mW with AixiZ)

Nice build very jelous... wish rhd would mass produce those drivers man or I was better at driver production.

To be honest i dont know. I have yet to test it but iam sure its not that great..

 I wont be leaving the cell in or i will be putting a paper spacer in between the Battery + and the case so it doesn't make contact until i remove the paper.

Nope its Using the 300mW Mitsu with a 650-G 1/2 lens.:)

Yes. 1A.:) Actually its a little more then 1A 1050mA but we will call it 1A.

I have not check the in between charge times but to be honest with you this is a Momentary switch, and since it is you kinda have something programed into your Brian that tells you to use it as such so in a way i dont notice the battery drain as fast.

The battery stugles a little if you hold it down past 45 seconds when the voltage of the cell is 4v or less but normaly its only on for a few seconds at a time and it works perfect so iam Happy.

But even 10 minutes in between charges, Thats quit alot for such a package. Most of the time ill just pull it out view the beam and put it away.:)

I was looking for the most power and packs a punch rather then run time.:p I can always change a battery when it needs to be charged but its pretty annoying to change the currant.:tinfoil:

But i love it. Its the Only One that i keep on my keys.:)

Nice build very jelous... wish rhd would mass produce those drivers man or I was better at driver production.

Send him a PM.;) He might have one.:) I got this from him a long time ago and was saving it for something spacial.

Even better! How well do they handle 1 A and did you have to bin a suitable diode? I built one earlier with 756 mA, because I decided to play it safe....maybe I could push it a little, what do you think.....?

They handle it fine.:) Me and few other members always ran them at 1A after we noticed this was Fine.

756mA is a Safer Currant but i have yet to loose one at 1A or has the others I know that run them at 1A.:)

Nope i dint bin this.:) I dont buy enough of these or build enough of these laser to do so and to be honest with you there is Not many Ive seen that are Higher efficient because 635nm differ alot with Temp, 20C down to 15C can change the power by 100mW or so.

I tested a diode that i plain on showing soon so you can see what i mean.:)

At 1A ~500mW with an Aixiz Lens is pretty much the standard i have seen and with a G lens its ~650mW -700mW.

Ok great ill give it a go! :thanks: for the info :)

Edit: Tried to give you rep, but it wont let me! Will try later ;)

My 300mW diode runs fine at 1050mA. But I change the driver to 700mA for lesser heat and better wavelength. And a little ease on my mind :D

Really nice compact build and that polishing job is amazing. The side clicky/momentary's on these really small builds certainly is a must. Great work.

You will notice a Diffrence in Brightness thats for sure. I think IIRC at 750mA you will be ~350mW with a 3 element.

Wow.... that is a fantastic little laser you got there.

I new you would Like it. You love your tiny Pocket Lasers.:D

Yes. Very Rarely you find a Host Like this be this small and be all Solid Brass. I was amazed how Solid it was when i got it.
I agree on the Momentary, even a few seconds to long can really do some damage. I use this More as a Point and Shot Look at the Beam then turn it off.:)

Everyone that i have showed this to seriously are amazed of what comes out of such a Little Device.

Imation you buy this online rated 1mW.

You get home, ..... pop in the batteries and....

:lasergun:

Nice build as alway's :)

Love the polishing!

Cheers, Sm.
