I've been looking for a good pcb platform to work on small laser driver PCBs. Most of them cost well over a hundred bucks. This one is less than $15.

It is pretty decent quality for that price! Mine came in yesterday and I really like it.

You clamp your PCB's into it while you ̶s̶o̶d̶d̶e̶r̶ , solder or work on them.

they bounced a kiloWatt green off it.
the lasers that hit it always go straight back..
make a laser-proof shield from some...

Thanks for the deal tsteele93, I just ordered the PCB holder.

I was looking around some more, and found this:

It's the Aoyue 937 which is quite popular, but it's an updated version which is also cheaper! I would dare to say this is the best $49 soldering station you can find. I have a similar type from a different brand, and it is great. Plus this one has a solder holder. I wish I bought this one years ago.

Yup, I like those Panavises. They hold those PCBs nice and snug. They're also great for holding laser modules for testing (like a tripod), and the actual "vise" version is useful for pressing diodes.

I did a review on these at three laser forums- AFAIK you could use ND filters - do your own calibartion and use it for higher powered lasers- & it does fit in your pocket too.
I will entertain offers on the one I have here- only used a few times-

This one came up not long ago....Says non working, and this may be...but if the price comes out right it may be worth the risk.
