idk thats kinda shady, y r they so cheap. they look like the ones from o-like that were in the bargain zone... i like the fact that the ones from sky lasers have a focus and u can run them continuously. read some reviews and they were all good

the viasho is a great deal being offered from a WELL respected member, the owner of optotronics. for the same price of the 300mW sky laser you get a 500mw laser from this group buy.

Why ask, if, after advice is given, you think it's shady? Sounds like you've made up your mind on the skylaser but want someone to talk you out of it.

Seriously, you'll be better off with the Viasho GB.

Seriously what is all this business about Skylasers recently? It's a rubbish company that sells under spec lasers for ridiculous prices, anyone with any common sense would say ok I'll go with the company that has been tried and tested by hundreds rather than try and argue the toss.

Are they skylaser affiliates or something?

The only thing that's shady here is skylasers.

i watched reviews and all of them said they were over spec. the reason why i want one of those is becasuse theres a continuous runtime and you can expand the beam to smaller and larger sizes.

Solution:
1) Buy a laser from a site trusted here on LPF (I recommend Rayfoss once they are back up) and NOT from one not trusted by LPF (e.g. skylasers)
2) Buy a beam expander. Also plenty of other sites (including Rayfoss) have focusable greenies.

Must have been reviews by skylasers because it seems their lasers are usually underspec. Also the sites mentioned before such as DL are always overspec. You can always add a beam expander later.

I've dealt with at least 3 people over the last month saying this exact thing, I give up. If you want to buy from skylasers go ahead and do it, we have all given you advice but if you want to go against people here with years of experience go right ahead.

It's not our pockets that will be left empty, have a nice life.

Little bit bluntly harsh :p but the truth.

My Rayfoss 350mW I got for 485$ it has an IR filter and peaks at around 430mW and remains in that general area even after 60 seconds. I definitely trust Rayfoss and once their new website is up ~Jan 29th I am probably going to buy another laser from them.

Just really. LPF is a good place with lots of people who really don't want to screw you over. Trust me mostly everyone here knows what they are doing!!! I'd rather trust people on this forum than some random person I know nothing about writing a review for a company's product (for all you know it could have been a company rep that wrote it).

In mid December, I received a Skylaser 150 for review. I did have to pay shipping.
I did a review on it then and here is the power graph showing it above spec. The chart is running at 20 Sec / inch.
