I built a script for Glenn that'll use PHP's (robust) rand() function to pick the winner list. Each time a winner is selected, a ticket is subtracted from their count. If they have zero tickets after that, they're removed.

Raffle Script

Paste in the list of buyers (with no trailing spaces after their ticket count...), submit, and you get the list. I'll PM the source to Glenn in case he wants to use it I guess.

this is why i hate randomization programs sometimes.... i had almost the same chances of winning as tech_junkie but he won 4 and i got nothing LOL LOL LOL

Not to bust your balls or anything Glenn, and I know you are completely honest.. but could you have mistakenly put 4 tickets in for me instead of 40? There are 399 tickets in total, out of which I have 40. That means I have 10%. The possibility of not winning anything until the.. 60th prize or something around that number.. is close to 0.

Did he do it by hand or by computer?

Paper tickets a bowl, and a 15 y/o girl to pull the tickets, which had numbers per a LPF name list I made list, so she didn't know even the forum name of the ticket holder. Truly a fair and random method. -Glenn
