Is there any trick to finding high-efficiency diodes? Like jayrob has in his Keychain build (seen here) a 6x BR diode at 183mA producing 215mW. Does anyone sell these? Or even like the PHR he mentions, 117mW at 117mA current. Mostly I'm really looking for PHRs kind of like that, but I'm curious about all sorts.

I would think the only way to find them is to test them.
Get a few diodes and test them keeping track of the current input and power output.
You can't tell which diode is more efficient just by looking at it.
Maybe it's not correlated, but the low wavelength PHRs I've used tend to be more efficient.

I was afraid that would be the answer...But I don't have a power meter to know how powerful it is. I my DMM will measure temperature, though which could give me a rough idea...
