Re: Focalprice Arctic

Sounds good, thanks for the answer, your honisty is apreciated!

Could you just explain how to focus the laser?
Is it done by twisting a part of the host?, is it done by accessing the lens internally?
Im really curious:yh:

Oh and the power certificate is really a nice touch!

You may adjust the focus externally. The circled section can be screwed:

I hope the picture can helps.

I think in about 2-3 weeks there are gonna be a few reviews for this particular model. Seems to be a much better alternative to the arctic and with a decent price. Only thing I don't really like is the orange tail clickie, but that's easy to fix, and beats the dumb switch:eg:

Max, can you sell us just the body of that laser? Just the host. No diode, lens, or driver?

My review will be up this weekend for one of your green lasers. So far the powers matches the power measurement paper that came with the laser.

I got this one...

LZGN - 532nm 100mW Focusable Green Laser Pointer

LOL @DJNY for acting like he never talked to Max before.

Thanks DJNY bring me here.

Sorry Mark currently we won't be able to sell the host separately. I saw jakeGT are organising a group buy on this host. Maybe you can take a look at this thread.

Selling the empty host would really be awesome, i would love to have a set of lasers in these hosts ( red, blue, green, violet )

Or just sell complete lasers with different wavelenghts ( i pretty much had it with all those 445nm:p )

I dont think thats going to happen anytime to soon.

To bad, you'd sell a million of them here. We had a guy that said he could get them for SKY Laser, but in the end nothing happened.

May consider to sell few spare host for member here. but I'm not sure yet.

No problem to install different module with different wavelength into this host. May offer different option later.

Offering this laser with a good green module, or a 405nm diode pushed to ~500mW would be pretty interesting. Add on an attachment to really diffuse beam of a green, and you can actually mimic a green lightsaber very well imo:whistle:

Red would be a waste of time unless exploring 635n, but those diodes in higher powers are a tad too expensive for this, for now. The usual 650nm pushed to 300mW just isn't bright enough for beams imho.

I just noticed the also have a 10mW 473nm laser, in the same host as the well-known 400mw greenies from olike

They should put a 473nm in that arvtic/rifle host

there are two great reviews on this already!
who else is excited? ^^

EDIT:
i just noticed this now, but there are two versions of the laser
800mw verison http://lazerer.com/Blue_Laser_Pointer/RIFLE445nm_1W_Focusable_Blue_Laser
1W version
http://lazerer.com/Blue_Laser_Pointer?product_id=144

the only difference is the $10 difference
and the battery type
18650 vs 2x CR123
does the battery affect the output at all?
(assuming the driver is the same)
i like how 200mw difference is only $10 :)
thats 20mw per $1 ;)
