3 minutes until it's too warm is excellent for a relatively small host.

Also... personal vote... knurled steel focus adapter... and aluminum version of the heatsink to complete, and while I'm at it... metal clickie:D

What i said too.:D

Extended stainless tube.:shhh: :na:

IIRC NO. It uses a Spring like in my "Worlds smallest stainless steel 14500 host"< Name of light dont know if its true.

But would it matter.? It would be something easy to do. In fact i thought about making one since i have some steel here already.:D

I hate working with steel. It scares this Sh*t out of me. I broke 3 bits in one night working with it.

But yes that would look sick.

Also If people woulds rather have the front inclosed here is a concept i came up with for another host iam working on:

You can see the center of the focus adapter is drilled out and the lens threads are set back so the lens sits within the focus adapter.

On it would like something like this. Keep in mind this adapter is not for this host but for a different one iam working on so its not a perfect fit. Its just for you guys to get an Idea:

Normally I love your creations... but that looks like a walking stick tip:thinking:

Maybe something longer and more aggressive looking that FP's focus adapters for the c6 though? Steel would be nice, but IMO probably not worth the effort, aluminum is close enough.

Edit... I'll try to draw something up... but to be honest I can't draw a damn circle properly:p

Silly. Its not done. Iam working on it for another host. THere is still more to do to it. I just grabbed it to take a picture for you guys.

For a Lathe Yes Steel is a hard to work, if Gary gets these done it will be CNC made so wont be an issue.

Your making fun of my walking stick.

Of course I'm making fun of your walking stick LOL. Walking sticks are either to be used for hiding swords, or as weapons themselves... not for lasers!:na:

This is mine:

I actually put mine through the same kind of torture tests last halloween on a drunk dare. For lack of a watermelon, a few pumpkins died that night:shhh:

Not nearly as nice as the copper and silver sticking out in the OP, IMO.

So I guess that means we won't be seeing any Titanium or Inconel custom hosts out of you? :eg:

:scared:<<< Is all i got to say.

Seriously though it really does scare me because i was not even taking a hair off at a time and broke 3 bits and when they caught and broke it also destroyed the piece o was working on.

Great looking host. At first I though it was an SH-032 then I saw the retaining ring on the top. That is great as it makes it easy to secure the heatsink. Anyway nice unit.

The conical adapter will look something like this on the inside. There is a tapered recess that covers most of the copper. I'm thinking clear anodized aluminum at first since it is easier to machine and lower cost.

Carbide or steel?
