Joker,

Many members have been trying to give you tips to help your business runs more efficiently. I am in no way saying you are bad at what your doing, but you have got to get rid of that "airmail" whatever it is mail option and only let your orders ship via the more expensive private carriers(UPS/DHL etc...) this is ridiculous!

Best of luck joker:)

Might as well add my experience to the fray.

I had the same multiple incorrect tracking number experiences, missed delivery promises/predictions, and kept hearing about 'guaranteed delivery' so I finally asked what the guarantee actually provided. In other words, if what the guarantee backs up does not happen, then what happens. That's really all a guarantee is, not a 100% promise that something is going to happen, only what remedy is offered if it does not.

I offered the definition that if it didn't arrive by a certain date that regardless of whether it actually showed up later Eitan would refund my money. Eitan agreed. It did not show up by that date but did show up some time later. I never was refunded nor did I pursue it. I really just gave up feeling too exasperated.

I too wore thin on the 'benefit of the doubt'. I would think by now that Eitan would understand how people are interpreting his words and actions.

It is not the mailing companies fault. It is TheJoker301 who is sending shipping codes belonging to other customers to different customers. He never shipped any of my packages even though he said he did, and instead provided me with tracking codes of other customers' packages. I proved that with the image metadata that I extracted from his "proof" of my packages.

Can you guys please stop recommending Sci-Fi Lasers?

I don’t understand why you guys keep recommending sci-fi laser. The seller Thejoker301 doesn’t look to be a honest seller to me in any way. More and more people reported for long waiting time for their order up to 4 months. Here are few example for the recent compliant about their slow shipping time/ fake tracking/ false statement.

http://laserpointerforums.com/f41/s...-truth-customers-uphold-his-claims-96983.html

http://laserpointerforums.com/f41/sci-fi-lasers-waiting-since-9-2015-a-96945.html

http://laserpointerforums.com/f41/s...ting-4-months-later-being-resolved-96014.html

http://laserpointerforums.com/f41/unhappy-sci-fi-lasers-being-resolved-96854.html

http://laserpointerforums.com/f41/joker-how-difficult-provide-real-tracking-number-96225.html

Obviously this is just a few example. I am sure there are more people still waiting for their order. Here are few points that I think why we should stop recommending this company.

1. A wrong tracking information is totally unacceptable. Thejoker301 do this over and over again. I am sure this is not done by mistake but he want to delay the time on the shipment to let him make the laser / to expire the paypal dispute time. A wrong tracking information may also increases the risk of exposing the personal information of the actual tracking number owner (name, address etc). This behavior also show the integrity of the seller. If he could lie on the tracking number then he could also lie on many other thing.

2. Yes Thejoker301 seem to resolve the problem soon but only if people open a complaint thread on this forum because he worried this will affect his business. I don’t understanding why people think that problem is no longer exist after the thread title “resolved”. This is not actually a good ending remember customer has actually wasted the time on their laser. So basically if you don’t open a thread you may expect to spend more and more time on playing with the wrong tracking number.

3. The seller Thejoker301 just want to get more and more business but he will never consider whether he can handle that much (this is one man company I believe). It is always funny to see some people speaking for them and say “Joker has so many orders so please be patience and wait”. What??? When you take someone payment to are agreed to deliver the product on time who will care how many order you have on your hand I don’t thing the customer should consider this before buying from them.

4. Their product is just a standard DIY quality with a modified flashlight host. Many of the members here can do the same thing or even with a better looking host.

5. Threatening customer on exposing their personal information if they try to hurry up the order / asking for refund ( see thread #1 ) Thejoker301 say "I got your address. How about that ?!?!?!?!?" So basically this mean he will do something on your address if you do something he don't like. Which is totally horrible for a company to do this.

I hope more people can stand out ( if they still having issue with this company ) to let others know how bad they are. To be honest I try to purchase from them some time ago because of the recommendation here but I am glad that I didn’t. This forum is now flooded with the thread of this company I am sure many people has tired with this like me. Just some of my thought. Take care everyone.

i think i missed the metadata part or you forgot to upload?

I didn't post a picture of that part in the main post, but I explained it:
"He said this new package was shipped last week, but the picture he sent me of it was taken yesterday on Wednesday, 4/6/2016. I extracted the metadata from the image to prove it was actually taken yesterday, so that is another proven lie of his. How could the image be taken yesterday if he said he shipped it last week?"

Here's the metadata from the image of the package he said he shipped last week. How was the picture of the package taken yesterday if he said he shipped it last week?

This is totally a scam. I am glad that you got your money back. I would say you are so lucky that you can get the money back. Forget that +100 you will never get it he will not keep his promise.

If I were to address my thoughts on Sci-Fi Lasers, honestly I wouldn't buy from them...

I'm hearing about so many issues from thejoker. First fake/wrong tracking numbers, then shipping problems and no faked promises. Here's something I picked up from the e-mail log which I found interesting;

Leta do this. I am puting my reputation here and my money. If by Thursday next week you do not have a laser on hand. I am going to send you a refund + $100 back. I am super serious. And I am not playing. I am going to solve it ASAP

From past experience as an e-commerce store owner, NEVER would a false promise be acceptable. Issues can be worked out, but it's bait tactics like this that are unacceptable. Thejoker seems like he's trying to temporarily calm the buyer down to buy some time by "bribing" him with $100 from his own pocket, which makes no sense at all.

If he were serious about trying to solve this issue, he would've refunded right away, no strings attached.

Just the fact that so many customers have been reporting issues from this company, proves that something fishy is going on with Sci-Fi. I'm not going to assume he's making things up about shipping items (as it is a fairly simple process...) trying to scam or if there are serious shipping problems. It could very well be that he's telling the truth, but also the same probability that he's stretching the truth.

Sounding awful pyramidish to me, if that's the case, some people are gonna get it when it all collapses, btw, RC has only been early to state what we've all had at the backs of our minds.

Although not terribly active on the forums i've noticed these same things and they do seem rather odd to me, especially the forgiveness for using fake tracking numbers?

While Joker's shipping can sometimes take a while ( I have bought 2 lasers from him and both were received in perfect condition) You have to keep in mind that Sci-Fi is not a company like SKY Lasers, Wicked Lasers, Dragon Lasers, or Jet Lasers. Sci-Fi as best I can tell is just one guy, Eitan, who builds lasers (even custom ones) to order and is responsible for acquiring parts, building, testing, shipping, advertising, and customer support. His lasers are of professional quality, his pricing is the best, and he will make SURE that all of his customers receive their lasers even if it takes a while. I understand why a lot of people are frustrated with the shipping times, but the guy needs a break. He is incredibly busy and we should all be very happy to have him as part of our community. If you really need a laser within 2 weeks, I hate to say it, but you should not buy from Sci-Fi. But Eitan DOES NOT SCAM, not by the slightest bit, and I plan to buy more from him in the future.

Re: Can you guys please stop recommending Sci-Fi Lasers?

I have had numerous issues, including the now-infamous wrong tracking number. At one point a 1W 635 broke (down to <50mW) after one day; I sent it back to him requesting that it be LPM'd and repaired. He sent the unit back broken.

When you take someone payment you are agreed to deliver the product on time this is part of the payment for. Who will / should care how many order you have on your hand especially it is saying a delay of few months? According to their website it take 5-10 business days to make the laser and take about 7-11 days to US with regular shipping so basically a delay is breaking the mutual agreements. I make a screenshot on what they are claiming on their website

His lasers are of professional quality

Unfortunately I won't consider their laser as professional quality they are just DIY laser with a modified flashlight host. Many of the members here can do the same thing or even with a better looking host.

What he have done so far is already considered scam. If you plan to buy more from him in the future just do it but please don’t recommend other to do this.
