Looks sweet. Nice custom paint. I really like these hosts. I recently had a gold one that looked pretty sweet.

Is the heatsink fit for a 1/2in Meridith module or an Aixiz?

Re: FS: Custom Anodized MXDL 3405 Host/Heatsink Combo W/ Module

Its for an AixiZ. Its not paint. The paint was stripped and the body was buffed to remove any imperfections. Then it was tinted with 2 colors. Its so smooth its almost slick to the touch. Barry (Dark Horse) did amazing work. Sadly he closed up shop. I wish more people here would do anodizing. It truly sets your laser apart from all others. Plus it durable. I've had this laser for over a year, and it looks just as good as the day I had it anodized.

Host is SOLD!!!

My bad. The anodizing looks sweet.:p I only was thinking Meridith module because the back of the module in one of the pictures looked goldish.

I had to adjust the lighting for the best color representation. That light is from an incandescent bulb, thats why its reflecting a yellowish tint on the chrome. I tried the flash, and other settings but it made the host look deep purple. Que Smoke on the Water, LOL.

I know You said the original designer is retired but do you know of anyone else who anodizes hosts like this?

I've heard Kenom did some anodizing, but he so backed up with his other projects I doubt he would do it. Even if he did you'd have to wait months because of all the other crap going on in his life.

 Hmm, maybe I should start an anodizing business.

Maybe in the near future. My work area is not set up yet, nor do I have the room. I live in a small condo. This is not saying that it cant happen, but it would be a few months before I could do anything. I would have to do it outside for safety reasons.

You pick the colors and design. I picked a violet because it was going to be a blu-ray. I was going to make a green, and red in the same style, but Barry stopped doing it.
