New 1.5-2.5W 445nm Back Ice/Blue Ice/Flash Freeze Lasers
To start off, here are some pictures of the lasers. All the lasers are built the same and function the same. The only variances are output power and the color of the host. I sell Black Ice(black host), Flash Freeze(red host) and Blue Ice(blue host) lasers depending on which color hosts I have in stock. Black Ice is default if no color is specified in the order.

Tech Specs
All of these run on a very efficient buck(more efficient than linear and boost) driver set to the optimal current (1.25-2A) for each diode giving maximum output with minimal heat. Drivers set to more than 1.45A are heatsinked with custom made copper heatsinks. Main heatsinks are direct press aluminum. Since there is no module, the heat is more efficient at transferring into the heatsink from the diode giving them longer duty cycles without having to use copper which keeps prices lower. However, copper heatsinks are planned for future builds and I will update this thread when they become available otherwise I do not possess any in stock. Every laser comes with a silicone dust cap as well as a wrist strap.

Duty Cycle
Approximate Suggested Duty Cycle Times:
1-1.5W = 90 seconds on 30 seconds off
1.4-1.6W = 60 seconds on 30 seconds off
1.7-2W+ = 60 seconds on 45 seconds off
*Keeping runtimes shorter will result in longer life*

Pricing and Availability
Here is the breakdown of the outputs of each laser and their prices including shipping inside the continental US, international shipping is available. These output measurements are with stock 3-element lenses. Add 20% to the stated output for an estimation of the power with a G2 lens(optional). Buyers can pick the desired color at the time of purchase otherwise black is default. I only have the lasers listed directly below in stock but I take custom orders if you do not see something you like.

Lasers In stock:
1.5W - $130 - Sold
1.6W - $140 - Hold
1.7W - $150 - Sold
2.0W - $180 - Sold

Current Host Stock:
Black Ice (black) - In Stock
Blue Ice (blue) - In Stock
Flash Freeze (red) - In Stock

Batteries
These lasers are powered by two 16340 sized lithium cells. I can include a pair of 16340s and a charger for an additional $10(depending on availability, batteries cannot be shipped internationally). The batteries are oriented with the positive terminal facing inside the host and negative at the tail. These are capable of accepting a single 18650 cell if a lower output is desired(20-30%) but two 16340 cells are essential for full power operation.

Safety
I can add a pair of 405-532nm blocking goggles to your order for $15. A safe to handle lasers such as these is to treat them like a firearm. You should also never keep the batteries in the laser when you are not using it to further reduce the chances of accidents. If the laser will be in the same house as anyone under 18 the batteries are best stored separate from the laser and hidden. It's also a good idea to store lasers in locking gun cases for extra safety.

DTR G2 Lens Upgrade
I do stock a more power lens called a G2 that is capable of boosting the output of the laser by about 20%. These lenses are the best lenses for burning because they let the most amount of the light pass. The difference in focus to the included lens is that the beam produced by a G2 doesn't stay as small as the one made by the standard 3-element lens and will expand at roughly 2x the rate. This means at say 75ft the standard lens might make a dot 2 inches across where the G2 will make one about 4 inches across with maximum focus. The G2 is a higher grade optic lens that costs over 4x as much as the standard lens and I can include one for $50. While I am on the topic of lenses, I also want to mention that all of these lasers (standard 3-element or G2) are fully focusable just to clarify for everyone.

Here is the 3-Element lens(left) that my lasers come with stock next to the upgrade G2 lens(right):

Custom Focus Ring Addon
I am now offering an alternate focus ring that glows in the dark. The focus rings are custom made by TheDukeAnumber1. I will be stocking his Aqua GITD rings exclusively because they glow the brightest and longest without being common green. I ask $6 each. His sale thread is located HERE for further information. Here is a picture of what the ring looks like on one of the 445nm lasers. These are for cosmetic purpose only and do not effect operation of the laser.

Re: New 1.5-2W 445nm Flash Freeze Lasers starting at $130 shipped

This is nice. It reminds me of the Blue Ice Luke is using.
Are you offering just aluminum heat-sinks or copper as well?
Is there a choice of host color or do they all come in red?

-thanks

Very nice! These do indeed look like the blue ice models that Yob was producing for a while but is not anymore.

Any chance of sourcing those? Blue host + blue beam is pretty cool and I know a few takers for a 2W+..

These are some really awesome looking units and I actually prefer the red color over the blue. I know I will be picking up some shortly. Good luck with your sale :D

Those look sweet. They look like the Blue Ice Yob is selling. What host is that?

I'm very interested in the 2.06w

Is there any way it could come in a blue or black host? Or is red the only option?

The powers you have listed with the prices.....Are those powers with the 3-element lenses or with the G2 lenses? As far as I know you will not be attaining 2W with the 3 element lenses. Please clarify those powers/prices and which lenses are used and included with each power.

Re: New 1.5-2W 445nm Flash Freeze Lasers starting at $130 shipped

Hey guys, its good to see there is a good amount of interest in these. At this time I can only offer the red hosts. I do have black hosts on the way but I do not know how long they will take to arrive.

I realize I forgot to add info on the heatsinks so I will add it momentarily.

As for them resembling Luke's(yobresal) Blue Ice lasers well, that's because it is his design that he gave me to use lol. As part f the deal with Luke I will not use blue hosts so I will not be direct competition with him if he resumes sales.

The powers are all with 3-element lenses. The 2W laser is a true 2W laser using a 3-element. It kicks serious ass XD

I like the red as well. Definitely interested.
I also like how your able to set the drivers to the optimal currents for each diode.
I've never seen that advertised in a sales thread.
It's awesome that Luke made it possible for you to fill the gap while he's taking a break!!
BTW, I would pay extra for a copper heat-sink.

Well, as these are direct press it is not an easy task to change the heatsink. On top of that I didn't actually stock any copper due to machining difficulties. As of now I am unsure if I will be able to stock copper but at least the heatsinks being direct press the heat exchange is better than the average aluminum heatsink.

Apex ....so if one ordered a 2.06 W Flash Freeze with a G2 upgrade are you saying i'll be able to spec it on my laserbee at aprox 2.4w ?? at 225 shipped.?

I love the contrast between the red host and the blue beam.

my premium Blue Ice is absolutely one of my most powerful lasers.....burning and excellent deep blue night beams.

Can you trim the spring so i can use 18350's???

WOW, That is awesome. Rarely will I ever get 2W out on ANY laser using the 3-element glass lens. It just seems to be an unattainability. But Kudos to you for nailing it.

Pretty decent and stylish build, Yob did gave you a pearl from his gemstones i must say!! I really am amazed by such outputs with just the basic lenses.. That would definitely add ~400+ to it using a G-2 optics..

These lasers take 18350s with no modification. I'll add this info to the main post actually.

BTW, I LPMd the 2W again this morning and it hit exactly 2100mW on a 3-element lens. Sadly I am having issues getting my laserbee drivers to work on windows 8 so I was not recording at the time. I will however be doing recorded tests on all of them with my laptop. I just LPMd the 2.1W at 2442mW with a G2. Unfortunately its already sold and shipping out today.

These hosts have pretty much become my favorite to build in now. They work so beautifully as a laser its like it was meant to be. Hopefully my black hosts will be here soon so I can have my next batch up ASAP.
