ATTENTION I will be away and not not able to ship orders from 5-10-17 until 5-24-17, I will be attending CampLEM Mark I in NORCAL

ATTENTION ATTENTION ATTENTION ATTENTION ATTENTION

From 9-17-16 until further notice all X-drive sales here are suspended, when more supplies of X-drives are
available sales will resume, so please don't hit the buttons as your funds will be tied up until
I refund you, Thanks

3-29-15 TWO NEW DRIVES the SXD for currents up to 5.5 amps and the X-drive FLAT which is like other round x-drives except one side is made to be attached to a heat sink for driving those high power laser diodes or long duty cycles, more new X-drives on the way soon :D

SXD-V3

X-Drive FLAT

Some useful info about x-Drives

If you want to drive your SXD-V8 with a TTL signal you will have to remove this 10k resistor and solder a wire to the left pad.

You should probably remove the ramp up capacitor.

If you need me to make these modifications for you I will do that at a small charge so just PM me and ask.

There are many different ways to heat sink drivers and here are a few pictures of that, if you need any help heat sinking a driver please PM me and ask.

Notes from Angelos about his drives please read.

For all the rectangle X-Boost i usually say this up to ~1.0A to 1.5A No heat sink with 60 to 90 seconds duty cycles. Anything above that will require heat sink.

For all the X-Drive up to 2.4A for up to 60 seconds to 90 seconds duty cycle. However it is recommend anything above 1.8A to be heat sink for contentious duty cycle.

SXB-2 This driver barely gets warm. However i suggest anything above 1.8A to be heat sink'd.

Bottom line here always use a heat sink on your driver if you want a long life and longer duty cycles and remember that when a
driver says it can do 1.8A out that is it's maximum output and that is with maximum heat sinking so do the best you can to cool it !

I have some copper shims to help in heat sinking the boost drivers so ask if you need one

Remember the X-Drive fixed is NOT continuous ground and the X-Drive Adjustable IS continuous ground

X-Boost V7 input voltage range is 2.5 to 9.0 volts

X-Drive V6 input voltage range is 3.4 to 16.0 volts

SXB-2 all versions input voltage range is 2.8 to 6.0 volts

Driver sizes: standard X-drive is 10.05 x 14.95mm and the mini is 9.44 x 13.97mm

Finally FP rescues the day, There supply hasnt been reliable for quite some time now and now that you're stocking these I dont think this can get any better.

+3 for this awesome addition to your offerings.

Good luck with the sales FP, as sinner mentioned there has been a bit of a shortage recently. The X-drives are some of the best drivers out there!

Edit: Just thought Id mention it, but I had an SO6J running at approx. 560 mA with a Moh linear, first it started of around 790 mW, but within a short time it seemed to have degraded and was only giving 430 mW. I switched out the driver, with an X-boost at 500 mA and the laser went back up to 690 mW. Not quite back up to its peak (and current is lower), but the soft start feature seemed to have rescued the diode! I can highly recommend the X-boost for sensitive diodes like the 12X. :)

Yep Moh is an ambulance driver and not a LD driver designer so I'm not surprised, you usually have to have a few years in the electronics field before
you can start designing electronic circuitry and especially if your going to be selling it, making something for your self is one thing but sales are another.

Glad to hear you found the problem and your laser is working fine now, I wonder how may other lasers are out there now that don't work because of this

I need a tiny boost that can run a PLP520-B1 at 650 mA from a single IMR 16340.

It looks like the X-Boost S-Mini, 1st Range, fits the bill, but I can't find the buy-it-now button. What's the buy link for that driver?

There is no buy it button cuz I am sold out at this time but I do have more on order and they should be here in a week or so and when they come in I'll put the button back up ;)

No I do not stock brass rings and I can not make one with out knowing what host it goes in or some dimensions, since you don't have one are you sure it needs a brass ring

Do you have a brass ring to go with my 16.8mm X-Boost™?

Jeff. I need a round 650ma x drive for a 2 cell 16w 405 build. Just making sure that's doable

@ Tmack

My bad. I sent you here as I misread it thinking the one he had was an adjustable rectangular X-drive but it is an adjustable X-boost.:(

Damn I already bought the diode.
Anyone know of a 18650 dummy cell?

How can I get a driver from you too dtr?

Here PM me I can salvage an adjustable X-drive from one of my units and replace it later with a new one when I get more stock. It is a rectangular not round though.:)

No button for the round 16mm X-Boost, either, are you sold out of those as well?

It's for an MS-Envy V2 (single 18650) so it needs a 16.8mm round X-Boost. I might just do
one up myself. It will probably fit better that way.

There are only buttons up for items that are in stock, I do have more round 16.8mm x-boost drives on the way they should be here in a week or so.

And I did find you a brass ring for a 16.8mm driver if your still interested.

Double Post :na:

There were some questions asked about soft start in concern to driving the new 16x 405 LD
so I asked the man himself and here's what he said about soft start:

They all have soft start.

But the X-Boost adj have a Soft start which is longer and more noticeable.

So any of the X-boosts have soft start/ramp on them.

The buck drivers have a fast soft start which you cant notice.

Okay, great. DTR had one X-Boost left, but I still need the frass ring. What do you want for it? I would
have just done my own, but I don't have any stock in the right size.
